The UNIWA Nigerian Community Excellence Awards 2026 celebrate the remarkable individuals, businesses and organisations making a positive difference across the Nigerian community in the Midlands.

Nominations will start on the 28th of August and End on the 11th of September while Voting starts on the 11th of September and ends 20th of September.

With 15 prestigious award categories, the programme recognises excellence across community leadership, business, culture, faith, health, education, youth development, professional achievement and social impact.

From outstanding community organisations and entrepreneurs to Nigerian restaurants, fashion designers, cultural groups, professionals, volunteers and unsung heroes, the awards provide an opportunity to shine a spotlight on those whose dedication inspires others and strengthens our communities.

The Nigerian Pride Award – People’s Choice will also give the wider public an opportunity to recognise an individual who embodies Nigerian excellence, values and positive contribution.
